DevDiary – No Hard Feelings

Business is all about relationships. Some are great, some can be a little rocky, and some just don’t work out. It’s not you, it’s me, but it’s probably you :). The hard part, just like in any relationship, is when things just aren’t working out. Sometimes, you have to move on from a client. Maybe expectations weren’t being met, maybe they have a bad attitude, maybe they don’t appreciate or value the work you do. Whatever the reason is, this type of thing happens, and it happens often.

Don’t take anything in business personal, it’s just business, and sometimes it just doesn’t work out. The best marketers in the world are going to have people that “don’t agree”. It’s just a part of growth.

Take ownership, and if you don’t want to work with someone, or if things are looking a little sour, then move on. It’s your business, and you get to choose.

DevDiary 12 – Taking Back Ownership

Welcome to another episode! Thanks for sticking g with me. In this show I’m talking about taking back what’s yours, Your BUSINESS! We sometimes talk until the habit of becoming work horses for our clients. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t work hard, but you should also stick behind your morals and do the things you want to do. This is your business, your rules, your standards, and no one gets to create those except for you!

We sometimes get in the habit of the employee boss role where your the employee and your client’s the boss. To that I say NO. You’re the boss, that’s why you’re doing this. Treat your clients like gold but know that your the one that makes the decisions and gets to decide with who and how you want to work. Otherwise your just going to fall back into the same place that you wanted to get out of.

DevDiary 11 – 2 lessons I learned in the past 2 weeks.

It’s been a while but I’m back! These past 2 weeks have been quite a ride for me. There’s been lots of ups and downs as expected in business. Through it all though I learned 2 incredibly valuable lessons. Check out the video and don’t forget to visit Http://

DevDiary – Figure Out What You Want To Do

I’m seeing this a lot on social media, people who own business asking how to develop something. Now while there’s nothing really wrong with that, it just raises a flag in my head. If your still on a learning curve of how to best develop something, and your asking complex dev questions, I think it’s time you switch your approach. It’s totally OK to be a developer if that’s what you want to do, but as a business owner, you may need to start thinking about how to streamline your processes. Enjoy the video.

DevDiary 09 – Hard Work Pays Off

We’re busy, that’s a fact. Someone amazing things can happen very quickly and your just not ready for it. That’s what has been happening with my main business. It’s amazing but at the same time it’s making me fall behind on my other endeavors. I’m not worried though. Good things are happening and I couldn’t be happier!

DevDiary – Use What Works Best For You

In this episode I talk about the tools that we use. The important thing is that you stay focused on your business, not the tools. Just stick to what works and keep on moving.
